FULL DISCLOSURE:

I never sang anything into a microphone, never wrote a melody, never did the ENTIRE process of making a song from writing, to playing all the instruments, and singing, and then also producing.

I’m admitting upfront I was COMPLETELY lost putting this song together, vocally.

I aimed to make this song with several key principles in mind.

I wanted it to be:

Reminiscent of old, crappy punk rock covers from the late 90’s
Ignored the way things are “supposed to be”
A tip ‘o the hat tribute to the Al Wilson original version (1st verse)
Garage band-ish and ORGANIC - not OVER-produced
Any and every piece of everything possible about every song ever that shaped my musical taste, even since my church-faring days as a young teenager

I made this song for me, first, and to prove to myself that I could actually do it all if I really put my head down and tried

Nevertheless, I hope you all enjoy it (but I honestly don’t care if you do 😆).

Here’s the alternate artwork I honestly liked better than the one I ended up using, but the color scheme (orange+pink/purple) may have given some wrong people some wrong ideas in the online sphere I’m leaving…

Thank you ALL for all of your support over the last couple years. It hasn’t been easy, and it wasn’t even always pleasant, but it certainly has been an honor and a privilege to share my insight and information with you while we all try to brave the New World together.

I hope this is not the end of the end of the road for me with you, but for now, until life’s circumstances allow me the resources to retake-up the pleasure of full-time activism, this is my exit.
