Committee of 100
The Committee of 100 is a US-China relations NGO organized at the behest of Henry Kissinger in 1990, though not directly attributed to him. 2015 tax filings for the reporting period of 2014 described the 25th anniversary event for the group as having been attended by Kissinger, himself.
Since at least 2010, for the intents and purposes of this series, Frank H. Wu has been a member of the Committee of 100 to which Ming Hsieh has committed near-millions of dollars to over the course of that same time period.
According to 2012 tax filings, in December 2011, just after BGI and Stephen Hsu launching their genomics endeavors, the Committee of 100 hosted its 4th “Greater China Conference” in Hong Kong, netting nearly $1,000,000 in profit.
In the same filing, the organization reported $150,000 to the University of Southern California US-China Institute, the same year Ming Hsieh donated $7 million to USC and $300,000 to the Committee. That brings to question $150,000 being filtered back to Hong Kong.
Of note, Frank Wu disappeared as a Director from the filings for reporting years 2013 and 2014, but was confirmed to still be a member in the 2014 filing.
2014 filings were the first time that interactions were reported with Fudan University.
Frank Wu was named as Chairman of the “C-100” in 2015 filings where the organization also revealed that it had partnered with a dozen Chinese universities and boasted 152 members.
Remember Deng Xiaoping is who was behind the explosion of the Hong Kong-Mainland tech sector all the way back in the 90’s.
Among these were the likely suspects: Fudan, Nanjing, Peking , Shanghai Jiao Tong, Sun Yat-sen, Tsinghua, University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, and Zhejiang Universities.
Frank Wu remained the Chairman in 2016 and remained steady with 152 members and in 2017 added one to total 153 people.
Ming Hsieh joined as a Director in the 2017 report and Frank Wu moved to become President of the organization. This same year, the group began putting on an annual “SPONSOR STATESMANSHIP GALA DINNER” which logged $25,000 to the “US Association of Former Members of Congress,” a 501(c)(3) organization.
In 2017, they reported taking in $14 MILLION.
In 2018, they contributed $500,000 to Ming Hsieh associates at the Richard Nixon Foundation, and continued the former Congress members’ gala at $25,000.
Tens of thousands of dollars each were dispersed amongst numerous hospitals and medical institutions nationwide for the 2019 reporting year, ending in mid-2020 amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
2019 reporting year was the final year Ming Hsieh appeared in the tax documents.
Ronnie Chan and Nelson G. Dong, both are members of both the Council on Foreign Relations and the Committee of 100.
Ming Hsieh
The University of Southern California’s computer science donor Ming Hsieh had already joined Chinese billionaire and Michigan State University financier Jonathan KS Choi as a “Director” at Fudan University at least by the end of 2011.
More China
This “network” or pipeline of intellectual property, investments, fueled political contributions after being laundered through offshore investments, or even just directly back to the same district where it all started.
Fudan University Education Development Foundation (FUEDF)
Fudan University Education Development Foundation (FUEDF) was granted tax-exempt status by the IRS in 2007. On the reporting year for the 2007 filing only one person with an American address was named in Part V-A for listings of officers, Ye Liu.
The only relevant Ye Liu I could find in New York was a Sun Yat-sen graduate (‘11) who had begun work on their B.A. in 2007. This Ye Liu, a social researcher, is now at City University of New York, and lists “The New School” in New York as a past employer.
The 2008 filings that were received in Ogden, Utah revealed the American-entity fundraising in Hong Kong and grant disbursement to Shanghai.
Ye Liu signed for the 2010 filings for the group, and was also paid $41,700 for his position. The group reported raising $60,332 in Hong Kong and disbursing $819,000, with $1,000,000 reported in Schedule D, Part VII to Serica Credit Balanced Fund.
In 2012 a $10 million LGT CF Preimum Strategy fund appeared alongside Serica in tax filings.
In 2013, FUEDF began fundraising directly for Fulgent America International Education Corp at the same time that Stephen Hsu started at Michigan State University and BGI got their wheels off the ground.
Between the years reporting 2013 and 2016, FUEDF gave the nonprofit associated with Ming Hsieh’s Fulgent a total of nearly a million dollars ($953,867 to be exact) in return for his generosity to the Mainland University.
According to ProPublica website, the IRS is still withholding the organization’s 2017 filing.
Fudan University was donating to Ming Hsieh while Ming Hsieh donated back to Fudan University with his own Foundation and by serving on the Board at Fudan University...all while also sitting on the Board at the University of Southern California.
Since 2018, Schedule F and G, the parts containing grant recipients and fundraising activities, have also been omitted from the online versions of the filings.
Here’s the kicker — it was all happening within blocks of the PLA and Jonathan Choi in Hong Kong.
A VERY “Full Truck”
Full Truck Alliance is in several ways connected to FUEDF’s earlier-reported All Star Investments, registers an address in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. Nanjing University is another school with which MSU signed academic agreements over the 2000’s and 2010’s.
In 2021, the SEC took issue with one of their filings.
In 2023, the Chinese government moved to purchase “golden shares” — usually 1% and Board representation from the Full Truck Alliance, also grating them special favor and priority with the Chinese government.
All Star Investments, named annually by FUEDF as an investment of the group, reported 35.5 million shares in Full Truck Alliance in a 2023 quarterly report. All Stars Investments are managed in Hong Kong, walking distance from Choi’s associates and the PLA.
This is a direct financial link between Shanghai’s Fudan University and Jonathan KS Choi’s financial leverage points in Hong Kong.
Hsieh after joining Board at Fudan
In addition to his position on the boards of directors at both the University of Southern California in Pasadena, California and Fudan University in Shanghai, Ming Hsieh serves on the board of Fortinet, a U.S. government cybersecurity provider based in Sunnyvale, California.
Hsieh also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Richard Nixon Foundation.
Hsieh Family Foundation
Hsieh also operates his own philanthropic venture Hsieh Family Foundation based out of Pasadena, California, doing so since 2006, the same year the Arlington, VA-based charity booster donated to the Chinese network of universities.
In 2010 alone, the Foundation donated a total of just over $42 million to the University of Southern California and $2,500 to the Committee of 100.
In 2011, the Foundation contributed over $1.5 million to USC, added $2 million to Stanford University, and broke off $1 million to Fudan University.
This would be the same year that BGI started planning its genomic sequencing programs with Stephen Hsu.
In 2012, Hsieh donated another $7 million to USC and upped his contribution to the Committee of 100 to $300,000.
That’s $50 million in the three reporting years between 2010 and 2012 to University of Southern California alone.
Hsieh added $6 million more to his total to USC with $800 thousand to Stanford and USC between 2013 and -14 USC, while also beginning routine $50,000 to the CITeR lab at West Virginia University where Anil Jain and MSU performed FBI’s biometric research.
This was the first year since MSU’s Anil Jain completed what reads on paper as a Chinese “talent program” tenure at Tsinghua University.
Hsieh Family Foundation continued giving to the Committee of 100 and USC in 2015, followed in 2016 by an additional $400,000 to Stanford while his other contributions from years before continued while under government contracts.
In 2017, Hsieh’s Foundation gave $250 thousand to the Richard Nixon Foundation and continued his contributions to USC and the FBI’s lab at WVU, reinvesting his profits from the government back into their own research.
2018 continued the grants to WVU at his then-standard $50,000.
In 2019, he gave another $1 million-plus to USC and over $300,000 to the Committee of 100 and we’re not done yet.
The Foundation reported in 2020 their contributions of $20,000 to the Committee of 100 along with nearly $1.5 million to Fudan University where he remained on the Board of Trustees with Jonathan Choi.
He gave $250,000 to the National Committee on US-China Relations in 2021, who in 2023 hosted an exorbitant banquet with Chinese premier Xi Xinping in San Francisco.
This was the dinner which garnered backlash from critics of the city’s ability to clean up its streets, but only for the Chinese President’s visit.
In 2022, the Foundation contributed just around $110,000 to both Fudan University and the National Committee on US-China Relations. In addition to these, they added another $250,000 to the Committee of 100.
Fulgent Genetics and Fulgent Therapeutics
Revisiting the topic of Ming Hsieh’s Fulgent Genetics for a moment, the Biden Administration awarded Ming Hsieh’s companies under the Fulgent banner over $40 MILLION dollars for Covid-19 testing in 2021 alone, according to USASpending.gov.
According to the same database, Fulgent has raked in $52,621,374.62 in taxpayer money over the course of its lifetime.
That’s $52 MILLION dollars to ONE private company.
Fulgent Genetics was accused in 2021 of the same type data “leaks” of personal information in the form of DNA data to the People’s Republic of China.
Zhejiang again
Fulgent Genetics is managed by a man named Hanlin “Harry” Gao, who is involved with several Mainland China companies himself, one being the actual Mainland China branch of Fulgent Genetics, at least until 2022 for certain.
That’s right, the federal government has sent 52 million dollars of taxpayer money to a company that operates a branch in China, that until 2022, was managed by the same person who has 8 business associates listed in the Chinese “QCC.com” public information database.
Some of these entities, some who Gao is directly registered with, are also located in Zhejiang just as the rest of this story has followed.
The Gates-Clinton Funding “Network”
The political bankrolling of the last two decades revolved around a recurring, centralized entity at every juncture: the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on the financial end, the Chinese government on the academic end, and all while the legal subversion and deflection ran through one more major recurring player, Perkins Coie and their head of Political Law since 2001, Marc E. Elias.
Marc Elias and Wellesley College alum Jocelyn Benson ran the lion’s share of political “lawfare” in regards to elections and election processes for the better part of two decades, and only for the Democratic Party.
Elias was the Director of Perkins Coie’s Political Law camp since 2001, giving him the eyes and direct line into all things that included both China and American elections.
Wellesley College
All of this also bolstered by Clinton’s massive donor base in Clinton’s personal political connections, which have been notably fruitful from her the alma mater of which she shares with Jocelyn Benson. — Wellesley College.
Key to this story, Lulu C. Wang, founder and CEO of Tupelo Capital Management is a trustee of Wellesley College and a member of the Committee of 100.
It was reported by the Boston Globe in 2015 that Clinton’s connections to Wellesley were so extensive that 20% of their board of trustees had inked checks to her Presidential campaign.
Importantly due to Konnech’s contracts with the City of Detroit, Benson and Clinton both ran for office in 2008, the same year Konnech’s Pollchief was first copyrighted.
Democracy Alliance
In 2019, the Jocelyn Benson machine that wielded a legal apparatus entrenched in all Beijing, Michigan, and New York united with both the Koch and Soros apparatuses in Democracy Alliance.
There was further evidence of the machine Bill Gates built merging with the pro-communist Left aligned closely with Beijing in Stephen McClure of New Virginia Majority, a “democratic socialist” activist organization in Virginia.
He was helping re-draw new voting districts for the Democrats, but doing so from Wuhan, China — where he stated on video that he preferred — during Covid-19.
Arabella Advisors Carry the Clinton Torch
Donald Trump calls Arabella Advisors Enemy #1.
Capital Research’s Foundation Watch called the Arabella Advisors in 2022, “perhaps the most powerful and, until recently, the least-reported-on player in Washington politics.”
Naturally, it fired up at the same time that China — with help and blessing of powerful Americans — REALLY kicked the intellectual property smuggling into high gear, and namely at Michigan State with Jonathan Choi’s $5M donation to the College of Education that earned him an honorary degree.
Also naturally, it is largely funded by Bill Gates and Rockefeller associates.
Gates Foundation and Arabella Advisors
Capital Research reported that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation donated $127 million in 2020 alone. There’s nearly no doubt some of this was simply laundered through Chinese “research” and intellectual property tradeoffs in the first place.
Another name that seemed to pop up nearly as much as the Gates network in China was the Ford Foundation, who is based in Detroit and has deep connections to Beijing.
Arabella and Pierre Omidyar
They’re just doing it out in the open through politics and education now instead of through Hong Kong shell companies like in the 2000s.
Capital Research did a deep dive on the finances of Pierre Omidyar who has been bankrolling the “Democratic” machine the last few years.
Pierre Omidyar is an Iranian citizen at last check.
I made this graphic below for an article earlier in this investigative journey. Take another look at it after reading this article and notice how much flows back to Perkins Coie and Marc Elias. This diagram is only 2020 and 2021, including after Elias split from Perkins Coie.
American political ramifications
Ming Hsieh donates to both parties
Here’s a quick look at how much Ming Hsieh donates to politics, not following any particular party through the years.
Why would Ming Hsieh, of all people, have any interest in Kentucky politics whatsoever?
Could it be Mitch McConnell? James Comer? Thomas Massie?
(I don’t believe for a second that it’s Massie)
Frank Wu donates to Left
HSBC and the Big Finish
Keep in mind how much of a role Vinacapital, a.k.a. Sun Wah, a.k.a. Kingsway, a.k.a. HSBC played in maintaining this constant funnel of talent and technology through Michigan State and Konnech alone.
Despite numerous fines and meager penalties over the years, HSBC has found a way to get their money to the illicit players as well as the American system. Even the authorities have known and have done nothing.
The man at the juncture of any two given points could always trace to Jonathan Choi...and HSBC, and for good reason.
Because HSBC and Sun Wah were always connected since the first time the diplomatic opportunities arose.
Choi created and chairs the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union, while also chairing the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce.
Things that gain government approval in China are not to be taken lightly. Jonathan Choi has his hands on everything through Hong Kong, and it appears likely that he does so in concert with the PLA.
Level 3 Communications
At the outset of this story, in 2001, HSBC reported $1 million of shares in Landacorp and Level 3 Communications each, and significant chunks of Boeing after Landacorp’s February 2000 offering. Seqouia Capital held 17.7% of Landacorp by the end of reporting-2001, and Colorado’s Level 3 Communications eventually sold out to CenturyLink.
Prudential Securities — Eugene Yu’s then-employer — made the initial stock offering on Landacorp. Prudential made this investment at the time Yu was in the Zhejiang University group AZKEF with Lionel Ni’s student Xipeng Xiao.
But before even all of that, in 1999, Venture Capital Journal reported that public pensions and retirements were being invested into “Battery Ventures” which was reported to have investments in Level 3 Communications and backing from Sequoia Capital, themselves.
Battery Ventures was unironically based in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Fast forward to 2024, and this scheme is precisely what Vinacapital were doing with 1.7% of the City of Baton Rouge retirement investments in 2021. This is not an exclusive phenomenon just remembering back to the Charities Aid Foundation or All-Stars Investments.
The man who is now one of Huawei’s lead engineers in Europe, Xipeng Xiao, was cited as a co-author for work with Level 3 Communications in 2003 and 2004.
Who is Level 3 Communications?
In 2009, the Rockefeller Foundation reported over $2 million in shares of Level 3 Communications and also reported roughly $40 million in Sequoia Capital.
Level 3 Communications is the third-largest provider of fiber-optic internet access in the country. In 2012, they were contracted with providing the Department of Defense’s fiber connections.
In 2014, they teamed with a company called “Elemental” to broadcast the first streaming 4k video.
In 2015, Amazon was evaluating Elemental’s technology and was reported to have helped stream the Olympic Games, communicate with the International Space Station and even funnel drone footage to the CIA, according to Bloomberg. According to the article, Elemental was using third-party security in Ontario, Canada.
The only problem is their motherboards were made by a company called Supermicro in California, who importantly to this story just came under DOJ investigation for exports to China and Russia back on September 27.
The technology sounds eerily similar to the kind of “sidechain” backdoor that Lionel Ni had originally developed in 1998, and ultimately led to the Michigan State-FBI-DOD biometrics IP funnel.
Dr. Ni spread his cutting edge expertise throughout the entire Chinese research community for nearly 20 years at the time of this publishing.
Iranians, Russians and HSBC
This is all part of the same offshoring and Hong Kong shell company-funneling schemes that banking elites and government officials have used to move and hide their wealth in and out of their campaigns.
In 2020, ICIJ reported on a slew of violations on HSBC’s behalf that continued the pattern I set forth earlier in this exposé.
The BILLION-plus in penalties could not hurt HSBC’s bottom line in the shadow of the trillions they made from starting new wars and creating divisions amongst societies.
This is the same network of banking that the THEN-Vice President’s son was using to peddle influence through energy deals across Asia and Eastern Europe.
This exact network is exactly responsible for backing his failed deal with the Russians.
The same banking networks that HSBC controls throughout the world picked up the $257 million tab for the deal falling through — ONLY AFTER BOTH YE JIANMING and PATRICK HO WERE ARRESTED.
Tsinghua-(Univ)Washington-Carnegie Mellon-MIT-Fudan-Michigan-Michigan State-Wayne State-HKUST
This very exact scenario continues to this day at Tsinghua University, who I’ve cited extensively throughout this series, and by using the very same group of corporate players.
Tsinghua University is the nerve center for everything China, everything BRICS, and everything espionage.
Covid already came and went. What do you think the next 9/11 will be? “Out of control” artificial intelligence systems and networks? What if they’re armed networks?
Let’s find out whose drones they are. ASAP.
It’s not even Donald Trump’s administration yet and it’s already a repeat of 2016.
In 2022-2023 school year, Elon Musk was an adviser to a group led by a member of the Chinese Communist Party and didn’t ever think to file one FARA registration as the government’s most expensive contractor — who also now unironically is in charge of “cutting government waste.”
History is repeating itself.
Space X being under $20 BILLION DOLLARS of federal money doesn’t qualify someone as acting as an agent of the government?
Especially when speaking about national security with regards to China?
The Beijing Genomics Institute was sanctioned by the U.S. government in 2020 following the 2019 Covid-19 pandemic.
THAT is why Donald Trump says they tried to steal 2016, 2020, and 2024.
I not only agree, but I think they’ve stolen everything from us since September 11, 2001...
...or actually BEFORE.
Lots of info in this article. Clearly, China, the CCP, is not our friend. One Truth Social account I follow, IntelChick, says the drones are Chinese. I tend to think they are ours, and are being used in some manner prior to a false flag event to thwart the Trump admin.
You have an account of Flight 77 on 9/11. I personally do not believe it hit the Pentagon, I think the evidence shows it was a missile attack, by our own government.
Musk is an enigma. Again, it is my personal belief that he has been working with Trump for a very long time, and is part of the ongoing effort to take down the deep state for good. We can only hope that is the case.
